Will I Have To Train A Huge Amount Of Hours?

No! This approach uses intensity to stimulate adaptations, so you won’t have to train huge hours. .

Do I have a coach or is this a template?

What Kind Of Results Can I Expect?

Will I have to spend $000's on equipment to implement the system?

Not necessarily, the program is heavily report driven, so a power meter is helpful to have, but by no means necessary. The program can be effectively implemented using just a heart rate monitor.

Will I not burnout after mid season from the high intensity?

Not at all. This notion of burning out from including intensity over the winter is an antiquated notion. Research has shown that it is optimal to include intensity in your training year round, and that there is no risk of burnout.

What happens after the 4 months are over ?

After the 4 months are over, you have the option to continue on with your coach for the rest of the season, or to end your coaching. It’s entirely up to you.

Will I understand how to follow the plan?

Yes you will. Your coach will prescribe your workouts with an intuitive easy to understand description, all you have to do is follow the instructions, and your coach will take care of the numbers and everything else!

How do I access the training?

Your training will be accessed from the “Today’s Plan” website. Today’s Plan is the service we use to plan and monitor our athletes training. Your coach will put your workouts up on the site, and they will be available for you to view there. You will also receive an email detailing the session planned for each day.

I just tried to implement everything I thought would help and most often that was in the winter you you ride ‘long and easy’.

And for a while, it worked. I even managed to go from a crap underage rider to riding the World championships a few years later.

In the early days, when I had all the time in the world to train, “spinning around” I still got the work done because I had endless amounts of time.

But, all that changed when I was forced out of the professional side of the sport and started working with Anthony in the building of A1.

I was now balancing my cycling around a hectic business and college schedule – just like you are.

As the A1 community expanded and I had less time to train, “Spinning around” just wasn’t enough anymore.

I started to see a pattern in how coaches looked after busy athletes and most often they applied the same principles they would to a pro. Which I had had now realised didn’t work.

With my own clients I started to see winter improvements I wasn’t happy with as a coach. I started to think what if we turned it on its head, what if we focused on things we can improve instead of the things we can’t.

I decided to break the sport down into its key performance variables and thought about tackling each one in in different phases of training over the winter.
